Megan Baker, BA/BS
Clinical Mental Health Counseling Intern
Available for individual therapy for children, adolescents and adults
I am a second-year graduate student intern at William & Mary, specializing in military and veteran counseling. With a commitment to serving underserved veterans, I will continue this work for six years as a post-graduate student. I hold a dual degree in Psychology and Homeland Security from Virginia Commonwealth University.
Growing up in a military family has fueled my passion for supporting service members, veterans, and their families. I am also open to working with children and adolescents. I have two years of experience in applied behavioral analysis (ABA) and mental health counseling.
In our sessions, I aim to create a space of mutual understanding, curiosity, and acceptance, allowing you to explore your emotions underlying your concerns. My counseling style is primarily client-centered, focusing on how attachment influences trauma and its effects on individuals. I approach my practice through a cognitive behavioral lens and a trauma-informed perspective.
