Drawing from techniques like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Person-Centered therapy, Blair ensures that her supervision sessions cater to the specific requirements of her interns.
Blair's Counseling Philosophy revolves around creating a safe haven for healing and growth. She firmly believes that nobody should navigate life's challenges alone and is committed to providing the necessary support for clients to flourish. Whether clients are working through past traumas or seeking guidance for current struggles, Blair strives to foster a nurturing environment where they can invest in themselves. Her expertise includes trauma therapy, EMDR techniques for PTSD, women’s issues, depression, anxiety, emotion regulation, military life, and self-esteem building. She is committed to staying updated with the latest advancements in PTSD and trauma treatment through continuous professional education.
With a background in teaching in North Carolina, Blair's passion for mental health support became evident early on. She pursued her M.A. in Christian Counseling from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary before obtaining her LPC in Virginia in 2019. Blair's experience spans across various settings, including group and individual counseling for both adults and adolescents in outpatient settings.
